Rolling plush hills of slightly blue tented grass, the spiritous aroma of sour mash cooking on a summer breeze, are but a few things that describe the small rural town of Bardstown KY. Another description of the small Kentucky town could include the home of rising Nashville country star Dustin Collins. Kentucky being no stranger to great country music, siring legends such as Bill Monroe, Keith Whitley and Loretta Lynn, Dustin believes that every aspect of his music comes from his humble upbringing and deep connection to his rural roots. Dustin's love of country music was passed from his dad and uncle who spent a lot of time passing guitars around the kitchen table and bonfires, instilling a great love for classic country and even a bit of southern rock N roll. Dustin began playing gigs at 13 singing for whoever would listen or at least would tell him to get lost. In 2014 Dustin got his first break co-writing a song in Nashville which was released independently, with the help of long time friend and musical advisor Eric Mellencamp. Straight up the song written by Dustin Collins, Steve Battey, and Sammy Mitchell launched Dustin to the number 1 spot on Country Music
